A fence without a gate is a wall with a gap in it. Every gate we build matches the panel style it sits next to, so the fence line reads as one continuous piece. Same look, same post caps, same warranty. We cut standard sizes and build custom widths to fit your opening.
Sliding Gates
A sliding gate runs on a track parallel to the fence line. It doesn’t swing out into the driveway, so you don’t need clearance in front of or behind the opening. That makes it the default choice for driveways, especially where the block slopes toward the street or where cars park close to the fence.
Our sliding driveway gates match any panel in the range: privacy, picket, Hampton style. The track and roller hardware are included in the quote.
Swinging Gates
A swing gate pivots on hinges from a gate post. A simpler mechanism than a sliding gate, works well where you have room for the gate to open inward or outward.
Single swing gate. One panel, one hinge post. The standard setup for pedestrian entry, side access and garden gates.
Double swing gate. Two gates meeting in the middle. Works for wider openings where a single gate would be too heavy or too wide to swing. Common on double driveways and side access where you need to get a trailer through.
Sliding Gate vs Swing Gate
The choice usually comes down to space. A swing gate needs room to open in an arc. If cars park close to the gate or the driveway slopes, that arc can be a problem. A sliding gate needs clear fence line beside the opening for the gate to slide along, but nothing in front.
For openings over 3 metres, sliding is almost always the better option. The gate stays rigid on its track instead of hanging from hinges, which means less sag over time. For narrow pedestrian openings under 1.5 m, a swing gate is simpler and cheaper.
