Estimate your fence costs in few easy steps
Not a privacy fence — low open design for garden beds, pathways, and decorative boundaries.
Keeps pets and children out of garden beds. Low enough to step over for maintenance access.
Not designed for noise reduction. Decorative garden boundary for landscaping and bed separation.
UV-stabilised PVC won’t rot in garden soil moisture. Handles sprinkler spray and mulch contact.
Delicate, ornamental design suits cottage gardens, flower beds, and landscaped pathways.
Lightweight but rigid. Posts anchor into the ground independently — no need for deep concrete footings.
Overview
The Margaret is a flat-top PVC picket fence designed for garden applications. At 1.2 metres it defines garden beds, separates lawn areas, and marks boundaries between different zones of a property without providing privacy screening. The flat-top profile keeps the fence visually quiet – a backdrop for planting rather than a feature in its own right. Each panel slots into pre-routed posts with no specialist tools, making it a straightforward install for landscapers and homeowners. PVC will not rot from constant soil contact and irrigation splash the way timber garden edging does.

Built for garden conditions
Garden fencing sits close to soil, mulch, and irrigation. Timber panels in this environment rot from the base up, often within a few years. PVC is completely waterproof. It will not absorb moisture from the ground, swell after rain, or develop the fungal decay that ruins timber garden borders. The Margaret handles constant splash, mulch contact, and humid air at ground level without any degradation.
Flat-top profile, clean backdrop
The Margaret’s flat-top pickets create an even, unobtrusive line along the top of the fence. There are no pointed tips or scalloped curves to compete with the planting in front of it. This makes it an effective backdrop for garden beds, hedge lines, and border plantings where the fence should frame the garden rather than draw attention away from it.
No maintenance, no replacement cycle
PVC garden fencing does not need the annual restaining, repainting, or replacement that timber garden borders require. The Margaret stays white and straight through wet seasons, dry seasons, and everything in between. Most timber garden edging lasts 5 to 8 years before it needs replacing. The Margaret carries a 30-year warranty.
Garden borders, bed edging, and dividers
The Margaret works as a garden bed border, a divider between lawn and planting areas, a visual boundary between sections of a larger property, or a low front fence where screening is not needed. For a more decorative option at the same height, the Elizabeth offers a scalloped curved top rail. For a traditional pointed picket look, the Anne provides the classic profile at the same 1.2m.
